The best part was how quick and easy it was to prepare, using ingredients that I already had in my fridge and pantry.

  • 3/4 cup finely-crushed saltine crackers

  • 1/2 teaspoon salt

  • 1/2 teaspoon ground thyme

  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper

  • 1/8 teaspoon ground sage

  • 1 egg

  • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard

  • 4 pork chops, 1/2-inch thick

  • 1/4 cup Vegetable Oil

  • Mix cracker crumbs, salt, thyme, pepper and sage in shallow dish or on sheet of waxed paper. Set aside. Blend egg and mustard in shallow dish. Dip each chop in egg mixture, then in cracker mixture to coat.
  • Heat Vegetable Oil in large skillet. Add chops. Fry over moderate heat 16 to 20 minutes, or until pork is no longer pink, turning over once.

To start, I whisked together an egg and Dijon mustard, creating a flavorful mixture that would serve as the base for the breading. Then, I dipped the pork chops into the egg and mustard mixture, ensuring they were well-coated.

Next, I prepared the cracker and herbed crust by crushing crackers and mixing them with herbs and spices of my choice. I pressed the mixture onto the pork chops, creating a crispy and flavorful coating.

With the pork chops ready, I heated a pan with a little oil and pan-fried them until they were golden brown and cooked through. The aroma that filled my kitchen was absolutely mouth-watering.

When I took my first bite, I was impressed by the combination of flavors and textures. The Dijon mustard added a tangy kick, while the cracker and herbed crust provided a satisfying crunch. The pork chops were tender and juicy, making each bite a delight.

What I loved most about this recipe was how it transformed a simple pork chop into a flavorful and impressive dish. The use of Dijon mustard and the crunchy crust took it to a whole new level, elevating the flavors and making it a standout meal.

If you’re looking to perfect your pork chop game and want a quick and tasty recipe, I highly recommend trying these Dijon Breaded Pork Chops. They are sure to impress and satisfy your taste buds.
